I think thats something directly related to the break that you choose to MIX INTO.
But then again – the best transitions I’ve heard – are the ones like Sanchez does – he cuts the lows for both tracks at the last 8 bars – then isolates the outgoing track for 1 bar – then slams in the next track with bass, cutting the outgoing track.
But then again – I come from the technoschool of mixing
