Barack Hussein Obama will soon take office as the 44th president of the world’s largest superpower. A catalyst that has done what has long been thought as the unthinkable. One who has vowed that “a new dawn of American leadership is at hand”. The man who is looked upon to undo, not just the mis-steps of the Bush administration, but perhaps even taking Reaganistic propagandas head on. To propel his country to greater, more progressive heights. The man who has been called the heir to John F. Kennedy.
These are certainly interesting times. The internet has played a crucial role in the Obama-Biden campaign. Also, during the last Malaysian general elections, we saw how powerful a medium of propagation the blogsphere can be. Perhaps this not only heralds changing times for the world of politics, but also for the Internet and online communities. Such as the one we have with the Foundation.
So what does this mean to you? What does this promise of “Hope, Action and Change” mean, not just for our American friends, but also for the rest of us? What do you, people of the Foundation, make of all of this? How will this new wave of optimism translate into further liberalising the arts and online communities?
As Arundhati Roy once said: “Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
The revolution has begun and we’re going to be a part of it, like it or not. What are you going to do?
Head to the comments and leave us your thoughts.
This might be a little too late. Still relevant, nonetheless.
Remember when Bill Gates stepped down from the Microsoft executive level to focus more on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation?
This is nothing like it.
I’ll be stepping down from managing the blog from now onwards, stepping back to take a more umbrella approach for the Foundation family of services.
Our new writers are No.4 and Pascal. Give them a warm welcome
It’s been great running the blog for the past two years. This gives me allot more time to focus on building relationships and advancing our artist promotion system.
Thank you all for your support while we step into a new phase in the Foundation.
Warmest Regards,
JK
PS: Positions for writers are still open. Just drop us a comment and we’ll get to you.
Extraordinary producer, songwriter, and artist passes on
Producer Static Major, of the group Playa (Def Jam) died Monday, 25th February at his hometown of Louisville.
As of this posting, major news sources have unable to determine the cause of death; but most recent reports from WHAS11.com say that he “died from complications from a medical procedure”.
He was 33.
FKL would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Garrett’s family and friends.
We are VERY busy throwing together an EPIC aniversary party to give ourselves a lovely pat on the back for holding this organization together for the past 2 years.
We are NOT dead. Humourously.
However, we would all like to leave a poignant note:
“The -point- is not to be the center of attention…”
Like club kids that adorn themselves with limited edition sports shoes and radio-friendly wailing.
“The -point- IS to be PART of the center of attention.”
Boom Shiva.
We’ll be back in the next few days to deliver our end of year message and tie up all the remaining mixes that have been submitted to us for 2007.
Then buy this album. I have. Produced by Trent Reznor.

We can tell you to go f**k yourselves, but we wont.
We only have this to say:
Dear has-beens who teach young and new DJs / musicians / promoters / dancers how to be has-beens. You are facing extinction. Welcome to the twenty-xth century.
You are f*cked.
Catch up, change your ways, or be declared –
